2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity & contact details — name, email address, phone number
- Enquiry details — your message, project description, suburb/site address if you provide it, photos you send via WhatsApp
- Technical data — basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date/time) for security and site performance
- Consent records — confirmation that you accepted these Terms/Privacy notices when submitting a form
Our website forms only request name, email, phone number and message, plus your acceptance of our Terms and Privacy Policy. We include a honeypot field to reduce spam; it is not intended for human completion.
We do not knowingly collect special personal information (as defined in POPIA) through the website. Please do not submit identity numbers, payment card details or sensitive medical information via website forms.
3. How we collect information
- Directly from you via website forms, WhatsApp, phone calls or email
- Automatically via standard web server logs and essential site functionality
- From publicly available sources only where relevant to delivering a quoted service (e.g. confirming a site address you provided)
4. Purpose of processing
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide quotations
- Contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email about your request, scheduling, payment and aftercare
- Fabricate, install and support your project
- Improve our website, prevent spam/fraud and secure our systems
- Comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary
5. Legal bases (POPIA)
We process information where one or more of the following apply: your consent (e.g. form acceptance and contact preference); processing necessary to conclude or perform a contract / take steps at your request prior to a contract; legitimate interests in operating a fabrication business and securing our website (balanced against your rights); or compliance with a legal obligation.
You may withdraw consent for marketing-style contact at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed or required to finish an active project or legal duty.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers who support operations (e.g. IT hosting, email/WhatsApp business tools, accountants) under confidentiality obligations
- Automation technicians, powder coaters or other subcontractors only as needed to fulfil your project
- Regulators, courts or law enforcement when required by law
WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms. If you choose WhatsApp communication, Meta’s terms and privacy policy also apply to that channel.
7. Cross-border transfers
Some tools (website hosting, messaging or analytics providers) may process data on servers outside South Africa. Where transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with POPIA.
8. Retention
We keep enquiry and project records for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes above — typically for the duration of the business relationship and thereafter for a reasonable period for warranty, accounting and legal purposes (often up to 5–7 years for financial records, or longer if a dispute is ongoing).
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please avoid sending highly sensitive data via unsecured channels.
10. Your rights
Subject to POPIA, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate data, deletion or restriction where appropriate, and objection to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Information Regulator contact details are available at inforegulator.org.za.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
This site is primarily static. We may use essential cookies or local storage required for site functionality. If analytics or marketing cookies are added later, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain consent.
12. Children
Our services are directed at adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 via this website.
